What happens in Vegas, gets tattooed on Andrew's arm

Andrew West

The first stop in Vegas was at the Eastside Cannery, where Andrew's uncle Jim works. More on that later. I lost $20 in black jack, briefly made my money back, then later lost much more. Road trip companion Reed lost $3 and swore off gambling forever.

Dinner at a Filipino restaurant, because there are lots of them in Vegas, and Sam is half Filipino. The leftover pork belly made excellent drunk munchies. Also, Filipinos make ketchup from bananas. Who knew?

Hotel drinking tip: fill the ice bucket with water, and place at bedside. Now you can draw from the well without having to get out of bed. This is the kind of stuff you go to college for.

We stopped by at uncle Jim's briefly on the way back home for spaghetti and bathroom break. Barely pictured: Andrew's drunken tattoo.

Having been to Vegas twice now, I feel I'm qualified to offer some advice about how to have a good time in Sin City. My first tip would be not to buy alcohol in the casinos or clubs, that stuff is expensive. Tip two is to avoid triple attack blackjack-- it just makes you lose money faster. Finally, do not get a drunken tattoo. Rather, persuade someone you are traveling with to get a drunken tattoo.
